I'm walkin' on sunshine.....

When I woke up the sun was shining, the skies were clear, and it was 67 degrees on a beautiful fall day. I couldn't ask for better weather. I had plans to shoot in Lawrence and having been there many times before, I remembered spotting an abandoned, small field right behind a home that looked so great for a shoot.

We headed back there and it was perfect. There were orange leaves sprinkled on the ground, a couple old cars covered in dust, some sheds with broken doors, brightly colored trees...

What I love most about shooting at such locations is that everything is new and so it puts my mind in overdrive.

The last ingredient to a successful shoot is the subject and she performed with flying colors (literally). A gorgeous little girl, full of personality.
